OUR VISION

We believe that children learn best through play and hands on activities in an environment that creates learning and exploration. We believe that when children are in a safe and loving environment they learn better. We believe that children respond very well to warm caring teachers that are well-trained professionals. The goal in education is to create knowledge for understanding. Preschoolers have their right to learn at their own pace.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

At Daffodils Pre School we strive to create a happy atmosphere where learning is fun. Where children, parents and staff learn together and where all develop to their maximum potential.

We believe children learn most effectively by using all their senses and through their own activity and first hand experiences. The learning environment is carefully planned so that children grow in independence and take increasing responsibility for themselves.

Each child is an individual and has needs that should be met in an atmosphere that celebrates diversity. Children need acceptance and approval in order to develop a positive concept of self and grow in confidence and self-esteem.

Children are treasured for their uniqueness and individuality, and are encouraged in self-expression.

While Daffodils Preschool operates classrooms, which are individualized in their goals & objectives, each classroom forms its specific aims within the context of these principles.

At Daffodils Pre School we see each child as a unique and precious gift entrusted into our care. This concept is what governs our school's educational approach. At Daffodils, emphasis is placed on the individual child and on encouraging each child's innate inquisitiveness and thirst for knowledge. Small classes and high student-teacher ratios ensure each child receives individual and caring attention.
